ITA Workshop on Fire Safety Concepts in Lausanne , March 2000

In March 2000 a highly respected workshop on fire safety in all types of traffic tunnels (road, railway, mass transit) took place in Lausanne, Switzerland. It was coorganised by ITA and the Swiss National Tunnelling Committee in close co-operation with PIARC, UIC, UITP as well as the UNECE.

This seminar brought together 35 invited internationally recognised experts and was a starting point for reflections on how to develop international recommendations on fire safety in tunnels.
